FujiFilm’s new FinePix Z200fd is your standard point-and-shoot digital camera… almost.
Sure, you have your 10 megapixels and the %x zoom and a nice looking sleek frame. But, hat about a new facial recognition mode for those “hold-the-camera-with-one-hand” self portraits my wife is always making me take.
That’s right, the Z200fd has what’s called “couples” mode. Here, like a self timing photo, the camera decides when to take the picture, but it doesn’t count down or even count heads, it counts space. The camera wats until it sees two heads right up close to each other, then it snaps the pic.
I’m sure the feature fails form time to time, but overall, it might be a nice feature for all the couples out there who keep having to take self shots. Ahem… not that I mind.
While I don’t think anyone will see this as a selling point, it’s a neat little feature that shows some new thinking in the market.
What do you think? Do you get stuck taking the pictures with your arm fully extended? Whould it be easier if the camera new when to take the shot itself?
