Sony’s new photo sharing site, Digital Darkroom, is both just another photo sharing site and, at the same time, something a little different.
The big difference is the online learning center, where examples of photography techniques are displayed. Then users can upload their photos that show off their understanding their rule — say, depth of field. Other users can vote on the best photos for each lesson. Basically, its a classroom in a Web site. Pretty neat.
Is it enough to attract users away from other sharing services though? Might be, but probably not. However, there are a few contests that could offer up a reason or two to attract users.
Would you switch over to the Sony site? What site do you use to share photos?
