A photo frame to end all photo frames
Posted by Andrew Nealon in Digital Frames on 09 24th, 2008 |

Sometimes, I don’t know what to say about a product. In the case of Smartparts’ new 32″ digital photo frame… I’m speechless.

Look at teh size of that thing! It might as well be a plasma TV.

The SP3200WF is the “world’s largest” Wi-Fi enabled digital picture frame. Smartparts teamed up with Windows Live to create the massive beast, which will sync with Windows Photo Gallery to display images at larger-than-life sizes.

Let’s see, you get a 1366 x 768 resolution with a 16:9 aspect ratio. Of course, built-in speakers alow for mp3 and video playback.

Pricing is not yet set, but I imagine it will be massive. How could it not be?

But honestly, this is a step toward the future home, which will have huge screens built in everywhere. Why not start with a massive phto frame.

I think having one of these would be pretty neat — more than just novelty, it could make for some great visuals on the back of the couch.

What do you think? Are these huge frames going to fly off the shelves into the homes of the rich and famous? I feel like it would be too much for my grandma’s house.
