How to buy your first digital photo frame
Posted by David Allen in Digital Frames on 11 27th, 2008 |

It is said that the digital photo frame is going to be the big hit this season, with the festivities only weeks away the stores are filling their shelves with shiny new digital photo frames, which look exciting and would make a most fantastic gift for your family or even friends.

However, to the uninitiated all these digital photo frames could all be the same, they just come in different sizes and styles, well that it is right isn’t it? No, it most definitely is not and buyers can come seriously unstuck by not taking any notice of the information on sites like GiiNii.

For someone new to the world of digital photo frames there are around four key points that they should be looking out for when they go out to buy their first digital photo frame.

Resolution – Basically, the higher the resolution the better the digital photo frame is going to be at displaying the images.

Aspect Ratio – Many people would be familiar with this as it often turns up on TV’s if you change the display settings, it is best to avoid widescreen because this will leave gaps and better to match the aspect ratio of your digital camera, as this will make the image fit perfectly.

Wi-Fi or Not – Wi-Fi is only required if you wish to send photos over the internet, otherwise there is no need and it is just an expense for nothing.

Audio – If the buyer is planning on adding music to a photo slideshow then it is preferred if the digital photo frame has built in speakers.

All that is left now is that you enjoy your new digital photo frame.
